LostWorlds-pb3Andrew Lane will giving a reading from his new book Lost Worlds, taking questions and discussing cryptids, computer hacking and top secret technology.

The BARTS pathology museum is a popular Victorian medical museum at West Smithfield in London. The Museum is located within the grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the place Sir Arthur Conan Doyle chose for his characters Sherlock Holmes and Watson to have their first meeting.

The Lost Worlds event at Barts Pathology Museum is open to children from ages nine upward, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Parents should be aware that the Museum’s public floor contains human tissue specimens and skeletons, all over 100 years old!

Andrew Lane recently took part in a performance art piece for Bournemouth Council by Emma Purchase which involved 8 different artists spending 30 minutes at the top of an 8ft high ‘lifeguard’ chair. Here’s a couple of pics of Andy during his 30 minute writing stint at the top of the chair – let’s hope there was nobody in need of saving as he looks pretty plugged-in!

As part of the Conan Doyle Weekend, taking place in Haslemere  15-17 June 2012, we are delighted to announce that Andrew Lane, author of the Young Sherlock Homes series of books will be visiting Haslemere Educational Museum on Saturday 16th June. Andrew will be giving a presentation starting at 11am, followed by a book signing session. Books will be available to purchase in the museum shop.
