A mysterious fire, a friend who has vanished…
…a man who claims to raise the dead. Sherlock Holmes is at a loss.
His friend and her father have disappeared. Their house is empty, as if nobody has ever lived there.
His attempts to solve the case take Sherlock to Scotland, and into an even darker mystery – one that involves kidnapping, bodysnatchers and a man who says he can control the dead. He’s faced death before, but can Sherlock Holmes defeat the forces of Hell?

Such a wonderful series of books. As a primary school teacher and lover of sherlock I simply crave books such as this to share and enthuse a whole new generation to the delights of such a fantastic mind as Sherlock’s.
P.S. to Andrew Lane. You keep writing them and I’ll keep buying them!Comment by Lee on October 22, 2011 at 6:59 pm

A brilliant book! Loved how Sherlock was able to accomplish what seemed impossible.
One thing still bugs me though, and I would appreciate if anyone could enlighten me, but in the last few pages of the book, I am still at a loss as to how Sherlock got from being in his Uncle’s study to being a stowaway on a ship. Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you.
On a side note, are there more books to come in the future?

Amazing book! First Young Sherlock Holmes book I’ve read-I suppose it’s the wrong order but oh well I’ll read it again when I’ve read the others- anyway it’s totallly amazing! ALMOST as good as Harry Potter and by my standards that very good seeing a the Harry Potter series is my fave. I reckon Mrs Eglantine put fumes into the libary at the end and put him on the ship to get him out the way. One thing for sure though it’s to get him out the way, that’s obvious if you have the brains to figure it out. No one put on there because they thought he’d like a little cruise to China!
P.S I read the book in 2 days. I can read a Harry Potter in 1 1/2!
P.S 2. READ IT! READ IT! READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By any chance, does anyone know if this book will be coming out in paperback any time soon? I prefer hardback books any day, but because the rest are all paperback, this one will look odd…
Still, I can’t wait to read it!

This looks like a great read! The author Andrew Lane is coming to my school, Chesterton Community College in Cambridge on the 30th March 2012. I am going to bring a copy of Young Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud which the author Andrew Lane will sign for me. I can’t wait until he tells his secrets! So far all his books have had good and excellent reviews. I have read Young Sherlock Holmes: Death Cloud and it is such a great book to begin the legend of the Young Sherlock holmes. As it says in the catchphrase. Think you know him? Think again. I would recommend any Young Sherlock Holmes book to anyone out there who loves Sherlock, adventure , action packed adventures and espionage.
